Goldfield Livery
serves the greater Phoenix,
Arizona area and customers from all over the world. We
cater to riders from novice to experienced, singles to
large groups and many families. Our horseback rides are by and large
enjoyed by customers that simply want to spend some time
on a horse in the Arizona sunshine! The attraction to horses is almost
indescribable, perhaps it is best understood by looking
at the eons of loyal service horses have given to
humans; this service is traded for our responsible care.
Horses take us away from the high pace of society, back
to the down-to-earth ways of life and the Old West
traditions; traditions that people like Tom Mix, John
Wayne, Ben Johnson, and William
Boyd stood for.
Basic
Information for Horseback Riding
- Reservations required. Make
your reservation at least a day
ahead of time.
Sometimes we can schedule your ride
the same day.
- Winter hours: 10:00 am – 5:00
pm every day.
- All rides are guided.
- All rides are walk-trot.
- Our weight limits
are based on height-weight ratios –
240 pounds maximum.
- Minors must be accompanied by
a guardian.
- Youngsters either ride by
themselves or we lead their horse,
depending on their size and ability.
We do not double ride.
- We recommend wearing jeans,
closed-toed shoes, and bring water.
- We accept cash, Visa,
MasterCard, and Travelers Checks.
